Exam Preparation

Please note exams may take from 15 to 60 minutes


Please follow all preparation instructions for exam, failure to follow the recommended preparation instructions may result in your exam being rescheduled or cancelled.

Abdominal

Include: Abdomen, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Renal without Bladder 

NO food or drinks 8 hours prior to  exam.


*DIABETIC PATIENTS may have clear fluid and non-fatty food.* 

*Medication and water may be taken.*

Pelvic 

Include: Female/Male Pelvic, Renal with Bladder, Prostate

NO food 8 hours prior to exam. 

Must have FULL BLADDER for exam (drink 32 - 40 oz of water 45 mins to 1 hour prior to exam time) 

*Water must be finished 45 mins before exam, it take 45 mins to an hour for bladder to fill fully*

Obstetric

1st, 2nd, 3rd Trimester (Fetal Anatomy)

Arrive to exam with a FULL BLADDER (drink 32 - 40 oz of water 45 mins to 1 hour prior to exam time) 

*Water must be finished 45 mins before exam, it take 45 mins to an hour for bladder to fill fully*


Patients may eat regular meals prior to exam 1 ½ hours before appointment time.

Vascular

Include: Carotid, Upper / Lower Extremity Venous & Arterial

No Preparation Required

Small parts

Include: Breast, Scrotum, Thyroid

No Preparation Required

3D/4D Ultrasound

Entertainment
